UPDATE – January 1, 2025: GALDEF met and exceeded our Matching Gift Year End Appeal, raising $13,323! Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our visionary supporters, we’re able to move forward with building our Cooperating Attorney Network, as well as expanding our advertising to state bar association magazines and other targeted print media.

Why donate at this time?

Our goal is to have another $10,000 in our litigation fund by the end of the year. To help us reach that goal, a loyal supporter has generously offered to match the first $5000 in donations made to GALDEF before December 31st.

As many of you know, in August GALDEF pledged $10,000 to Intact Global to support impact litigation to ensure that laws governing medically unnecessary genital cutting of non-consenting children are applied equally, regardless of sex. Earlier this year we also made a $5,000 grant to assist a young man in his lawsuit against his birth hospital and his circumciser. Such efforts are extremely expensive, and $15,000 is only a fraction of what’s needed for these cases.
